Mark Quirk Visual Studio 2008
Biography

Mark joined Microsoft UK in 1992 as a senior support engineer for Microsoft development tools, having previously been a Unix systems programmer. In 1993 he became the first pre-sales consultant to focus on creating solutions in the enterprise with Microsoft development products. He has since lead several teams of engineers and continues to be keenly involved in the application of Microsoft's technology to meet the challenges of the changing enterprise. Today he is the head of the technology team of Developer & Platform Evangelism group at Microsoft Ltd.
Session Abstract – Visual Studio 2008
Visual Studio 2008 and its partner .NET Framework 3.5 were released on 19th Nov 2008 – it’s the release with a WPF designer, with Language Integrated Query (Linq), with support for working with multiple versions of the .NET Framework, with a great X/HTML editor and deep CSS support, with integrated Ajax support and also the release with the VB only XML Literals. So, these are the things we’ll look at!
Prerequisites: This session assumes no prior experience using Visual Studio 2008. Attendees are expected to be familiar with Visual Studio and .NET development
